Rachel Harris

Rachel graduated cum laude from the University of California Hastings. She served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly Journal, Vice President of the Hastings Family Law Association, and legal research assistant to family law professor, Kelly Weisberg. Rachel was the 2021 recipient of the Witkin award and CALI Excellence for the Future award in California Community Property. Her article addressing the constitutional implications and practical benefits of remote hearings for domestic violence matters was published by the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly in 2022.

During law school, Rachel focused on honing her knowledge of family law by interning at the Unified Family Court of San Francisco County, the family law division of Bay Area Legal Aid, Nachlis Freeman, LLP, and DeLacey, Riebel, & Shindell, LLP (DRS). Prior to shifting her focus to family law Rachel interned at the collaborative mental health unit of the SF District Attorney’s Office, and the Buck Institute.
